Well -- women can adore money more than anything too. It's all for the easy money.

Maybe they've identified the responsible parties, maybe not. I've learned, when following the atrocities and other crimes in Mexico, to wait for a longer period until more information becomes available. The government has a history of charging people who are innocent or not completely responsible for these things. I hope they've gotten the right people, but let's wait and see. Also, the death toll for the war exceeds 100,000 and it began at the end of the Zedillo administration, accellerated under Fox and became even more intense under Calderon. The PRI will likely assume the Presidency later in the year (following election in June) and, as it was claimed when it was in power before, is expected to make deals with the cartels guaranteeing them certain national territory in return for "peace." Time will tell whether this becomes a fact or is just fictional assumptions.

I know of a few people who are hopping for the pri to negotiate over property to the cartels in return for peace. The idea of "peace" sounds good, perhaps Mexico would mellow out and go back to his ways of being less threatening (speakingof only those places where the majority of these atrocities occur ) .. But Still that doesn't erase the issues of drugs and the thought of cartels owning national property is frightening. Is Mexico better off having the government cooperate with the cartels as opposed of going against ?

You just know the controlling narcos of an area are responsible for this. There is no doubt he either did it or ordered it done. A few people get killed it could be others, 49 get brutaly killed and no one but those in control of an area can pull it off.

You have no choice, you have to go after them. Colombia eventually got control of most of the country when the appeasement stopped. It didnt happen in 5 years so people saying its a failed effort need to get realistic, but they also cant lose sight of the big picture. Buying peace does not work because whatever you give up now, these same people will be asking for 10% more next year and it just wont stop.

Interesting watching more and more archeology shows delving into the deep blood culture of the America's before the arrival of the priests. Idols behind the alters. It looks like nothing has changed, ....in two thousand years.

Drugs?? That's a sideshow. Look at the mentality of the culture.

AS Will Smith says, find FAULT all you want, but at the end of the day look in the mirror.
