Yepp. I don't care if we Whites become a minority as long as the 1%, or the 5% for that matter have the same skin color as we do. And the 5% will be White for a loooooooong time now. So no worry.

For ****s sake we're all mixed. I'm Lebanese/German with a Spanish Grandfather
My dad is Lebanese/Spanish my mother is German/Spanish
To claim ethnic groups is insanity, trying to trace your origins would be a headache.
I don't consider myself to be half German or a full blooded Lebanese. I'm Mexican. Not only is it simpler to say that, but It shows that I have pride in my country unlike these other half Japanese, Arabian, or whatever you may call yourselves.

How is it possible that Jews can be an ethnic group in the USA and every other country in the world, but not in Mexico? Have most Jews been fully assimilated into Mexican culture, to the point that they cannot be recognized anymore, and no longer recognize their own distinction within the national fabric, and do not observe Jewish customs anymore? Have Mexican Jews all gone into farming and fishing and manual labor, and intermarried with Mestizos, and abandoned their family traditions of mercantilism and money handling?

Doesn't anyone here remember the Garza family of Monterrey? This Jewish family singlehandedly transformed Monterrey into the economic engine that it is today. They were also well thought of by the population of Monterrey, as 200,000 people attended Eugenio Garza Sada's funeral after he was killed in a botched kidnapping attempt by leftists (who else) in 1973 at the age of 82.
I have a Lebanese-Mexican friend from Puebla who is an engineer. Solid middle class, very nice, good looking family.
Just because someone is white in Mexico doesn't mean they are going to be wealthy or middle class. The region where my family is from, los Altos de Jalisco, has whites and Morenos in positions of power and wealth. I have also seen the whitest, blond, blue eyed and poorest gueros in the campo.
Most of the good folks that post here in this forum would be very suprised how Mexico really is if they would venture away from the beach resorts/border regions. These people have about as much knowledge of Mexico as someone from Turkmenistan, who watched John Wayne movies, then visiting Hilton Head Island, SC and maybe International Falls, MN and commenting on the USA as a whole.

I'm not sure that the Garza Sada family is of Jewish origin. They have always been identified as practicing Catholics.
I think rather have their roots in Spain and were benefited by trade in Monterrey after the war of 1846.
**
Nearly all wealthy businessmen from Mexico, their families have originated in Spain.
Although Mexican, their great-grandparents were from Spain.
Some that come to mind.
Arango Family (Walmart - Aurrera)
Servitje Family (Bimbo)
Fernandez - Arambuzabala Family (Modelo)
Garza Sada Family (FEMSA)
Azcarraga Family (Television)
Aleman Family (Interjet)
Salinas Price Family (TvAzteca)

Mexico's beer industry was founded by immigrants from Germany or Austria. I wonder if their descendents still run those companies?
There are also some wealthy Mexican families of Basque origin.
God bless,

I just have misunderstood the question. I thought it asked about the wealthiest ethnic group, not the ethnicity of the wealthiest man or the wealthiest family or the wealthiest dozen families.
I could be wrong, but if Carlos Slim is Lebanese and is personally the wealthiest person, I'm not sure that amounts to all the Mexican Lebanese having a share of Slim's wealth and being the wealthiest ethnic group.

That's correct, not all the Lebanese living in Mexico has family or business relationship with the Slim family.
If asked which ethnic group is the richest in the country the answer is simple: white
