According to snopes is 205 million. It is still a lot of money though

I thought those telenovelas were exagerating when they showed drug lords with rooms filled with stacks of dollars.

I'm glad he was busted. Inquiring minds want to know, where did all that money go?

That is a ridiculous estimate. Even if it was all $100 banknotes, $22 billion would still weigh 484 million pounds. You would need a warehouse, not a room in a basement.

It was $205 million (less than 1% of $22 billion). If it was all $100 banknotes that would weigh 4500 pounds. But there must be smaller bills mixed in there, because I would guess that is over 4500 pounds.

Belonged to Chinese Supplier of Meth precursors. Apparently he had no way of depositing the money into banks or moving the money north to US for proper laundering.
