Alicia Villarreal? Spanish roots, course as any other mexicans, but she´s not creole, her family has been mixed, her father is moreno, you know...

AFAIK a good number of native Spaniards are moreno. Just today I met a moreno girl who came from Asturias. It was interesting because you'd think that such features would rather be from southern Spain.

Clearly, some have a Mediterranean look, others are mixed with the Moors or Arabs with the Moroccans, including Spain was conquered by the Turks and there was also some cross-breeding.

But assume that a Mexican is almost pure Creole or Spanish just because is blond and eye color is ridiculous.

Are you serious? I heard her on an interview saying her family was from Spain. Then again, you are right, could be 2nd or 3rd generation who already mixed with the rest of the population. Good observation el inombrable!

Another case could be the singer Belinda, she born in Madrid, Spain, so she´s spanish as her parents. Or singer Luis Miguel, born in Puerto Rico, his father born in Spain, his mother in Italy... He´s anyway consider himself as mexican...

Regards!

And for irony: the English actor, Alfred Molina is too of Italian and Spanish lineage.

In fact: some years ago a Chicano advocacy group was up in arms over Molina doing a lead role in the movie 'The Perez Family' due to him not being Hispanic under US government guidelines.

It's true a guy who is born in Europe to European parents and has a British accent is not considered part of the Brown race a.k.a Hispanic in the United States. Alfred Molina is a Whiteboy who would not qualify for affirmative action racial quotas when it comes to jobs and eeucation.

Had Molina been born in the USA----------he would be counted as Hispanic (his father was Spanish).

Mexico is 9% white and white people are extremely overrepresented when considering that figure. When you look at television reporters, singers, actors/actresses, etc. on Mexican television, well over half of them are white. That the camera is kinder to light skin is a typical Mexican denial of the country's preferential treatment of whites and discrimination against Amerindians and dark-skinned mestizos. The US is light years ahead of Mexico when it comes to dealing with racial issues.
well estimates are 9 to 20 % no one really knows and a lot of the 60% mestizos about half are white looking too so you never really know
