Mexico had been fighting with the FDA with regard to releasing this information. As a matter of fact they all but threatened the US about the release of it. Moderator cut: edit

Mexico is NOT our friend and it's well past time to cut all ties and seal the border. Maybe then they will grow up and stop as though America has an obligation to take care of them and solve all of their problems simply because we share a border.
What, tomatoes were not the problem after all?

Mexico has many, many friends in the US and that is also growing.

I think the problem is the greed and the lack of standards we used to have. Follow the money, and why are we wasting money on an FDA that no longer checks the food being imported.

Everyone knows that human sewage is used to fertilize fields in Mexico because it's been that way for centuries, but in Mexico they don't eat fresh unwashed vegetables for that reason, they know better but in the USA we havne't caught on yet to the new standards imposed on us -- it's about money and profits like everything else.

You really think that Mexico is the same as 1900 do you? Actually the fields in Mexico that are used to export to USA has even better levels of quality in fertilize, water and standrars than the fields of USA, Get some good and true info, and don´t speak only because you think so...

Also te salmonella doesn´t even resist the jalapeno acids, the problem is in the packaging and handling that is being done in united states.
