President Calderon Pushing High Tech Education For Mexico (home, high schools)

I was reading about Prez Calderon at a ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Technical University in the Estado de Mexico along with Gov. Pena Nieto who attended.

Prez Calderon stated that under his administration Mexico is creating 45 new higher education institutions, 200 new high schools and 77 new universities when his term is up.

This has to be good for Mexico especially as it moves forward towards a strong middle class.

Mexico is undergoing a lot of profound transmormations since Calderon started his term, Fox was the arrival of democracy, but it was very inmature.

with Calderon, society, government, business owners have better communication and more participation, we are now building a solid foundation for the future.

this is good. i want mexico to grow and become a first world nation. but lets face it. if it ever happens. its going to be a while.

No way they will stay in USA, even so mexico was a 1st world country, the exodus of mexican to USA even least will continue..

a feeling of inferiority regarding your own culture, and a feeling of awe regarding other cultures... The term comes from a woman that played a very important role during the conquest of Mexico, her name was Malinalli Tenépatl, the spaniards called her La Malinche, she sided with Hernan Cortes and she helped him understand the culture, traditions of the new world, she was also a skilled interpreter who convinced many tribes who were opressed by the Mexicas (aka Aztecs) to side with Hernan Cortes and help him defeat the Mexicas.

in Mexico a lot of people tend to minimize ourselves, our culture and our country, while they maximize others, we call that malinchismo, it is something stupid and blind, but it is so deeply ingrained that people develop blindess towards the positive aspects of the country, the culture, etc, they are also blind regarding the negative aspects of the country, culture, etc that they admire.

A lot of people in Mexico for example, have the idea that the advanced civilizations who were here before the spaniards came, were nothing but a bunch of superstitious and primitive savages.

But how can you destroy the inferiority complex that has been so deeply ingrained in a significant amount of the population? An education that makes children proud of their heritage, customs, culture and history is what we need in this country.
