What Mexico criticizes of Canada -for the new visa for our fellow country men- is the same policy that we've been having applying to other countires, according to an study of the house of commons.

In the report it is highlighted that in the last decade Mexico increased the number of countries that need a visa, and it points that it was in the term of Vicente Fox Quesada when the migratory policy was hardened, specially towards south american nations like Colombia and Brasil.

This situation has made the travellers to emigrate to other destinations, affecting the mexican tourism industry.

The house of commons report points that "against the dynamics of nations of the entire world, to eliminate the requirement of visas or at least make it more flexible, Mexico reinforced their border controls for foreigners, what has meant that since the past presidential term, thousands of tourits have decided to go to other destinations".

In the report denominated "The Mexican visa policy and the Canadian situation@, explains that our country only is receiving from part of the Canadians a bit of what our migratory authorities have imposed to Brazilians, Colombians, Peruvians and Bolivians, since the Vicente Fox's term"

The coordinator of the work group in migratory affairs, Edmundo Ramirez, pointed that "Mexico is complaining to Canada the same that applies to south americans when they enter to the country and they are submitted to unnecesary procedures".

According to international travel agencies, half a hundred of south american tourists are turned back weekly to their nations when they get to Cancun, by the migratory bureaucracy.

The only countries of the region that don't need a visa to come to Mexico are Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela.

It's about time someone who's voice can be heard complained about this stupid and nonsensical situation. The only looser is Mexico.

I have to add that the only country in the world that discriminates it's own citizens when we come back is Mexico, hell I get a better treatment when I go to Brazil than when I return to my own country!!!

Hopefully this will end, many Brazilian friends have been turned down on their visa requirement, this is unfair to the nation which should be Mexico's best friend, but hopefully one day, one day we'll change this situation.

We should just ask visas for the countries who require the same from us, like the USA, now Canada, etc.
