How cliche! Sometimes I really wonder if there is hope for Miami, and this is coming from someone who is generally an optimist! I mean, if we could at least clean up downtown, and if real estate prices would come down A LOT, maybe they could attract some real commerce AND Americans. Then, when we have attracted Americans, they will have a bigger pool of officials to pick from! Then, when we get real professionals in office, we can see improvement from there. Nahhhhh, it will never happen....or will it?

Miami is beyond hope, it always has been corrupt and lately has become way overpriced. Unles there is total economic collapse of a catastrophic weather event nothing will change. Some cleaning will take place if the county's budget is limited by property tax reform. Take away revenue, and force Miami to balance its budget and I am sure a lot of crooks will be exposed.

It's happening? I heard they were dumping T-bonds earlier this year, also the dollar hasn't been doing well. Why doesn't this info make the news? Oh wait...never mind.
