Hello,

I would like to know how much money would be needed in a month for survive in North Miami. Paying rent, food, gas, and all the important needs. I know this can variate. But I am looking for approximations based in your own experiences living in Miami. I will be living with someone else that is not able to pay anything because of college, so I will be feeding myself and the other person with my salary. I am a graphic designer that graduated recently of my B.A., but I have been working as a graphic designer from last year. I had chance to work in a company last year then this year in a printing house (Not in Miami).

Any comment? Or website that can help me to have an approximation of living cost per month? So I can know how much I will need to earn working.

Thanks in advance to any one that reply.

at least 4-5 k to live comfortable, 3.5k is just making it, excluding going out cost.

Depends on what type of other debt obligations you have. Credit Card, Automobile payment, and loans.

Obtaining a $30,000annually if you have a generic university degree is not difficult. Anything at and above $40,000 requires a specific degree and experience in your field plus vacancies. I would check on Monster, Careerbuilder and employflorida.com and see what your field job announcements are and the salary range.

For two people: $100gasoline monthly, $300-400 grocery bill, $80 electricity, $100-cable/tel/internet, $1200 rent for a 2/2, $20 water and sewer monthly(paid quarterly).

You can also do a one bedroom for about $700. check on craigslist for rentals.

I am totally free of any debt. I hold a Graphic Design Bachelor, but the job salary can have a big range as graphic designer depending of their needs. But since I finished college I feel I will have problem getting a good pay job because I don't have many years of experience working as designer. But I had 2 jobs where I was working as a graphic designer.

Thanks for the replies and links!

Any other comments would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I should also mention if your industry has extensive Hispanic employers in Miami then it is ideal for you to be conversant in Spanish.
