I think he left USA when Kendall was yet to be part of "Miami". Back in the days people would refer to Miami Dade as SIMPLY Dade. I'm sure he knows a lot about the Greater Miami Area, but not the surrounding cities.

He knows 2 or 3 blocks in little Havana. That's it. And it wasn't THAT long that the county was called Dade only, he came in the Mariel and only stayed about a year in little Havana.
