just keep windows up and doors locked, its not the worst area.... and if someone does try and carjack you, idk, me personally i would run the light. but people react different.. not saying you will get car jacked, i went through liberty city/miami gardens at 8 at night as a white person windows rolled down many times no problems.. same with little havana.

Are you going to 3100 sw 62 ave?
I think it's easier if You take I-95 south till it ends, it will become US1 and then make a right on SW 40st,(you will be around 37 avenue) continue driving (west) to 63 ave and make a right. Use google for the exact directions. Don't use CorAl way(24 st). It's very easy to get lost there if you don't pay attention to the signs It's not unsafe but that part of coral gables is dark and the signs are hard to read.

depending how far north you come from, you can take the Palmetto and exit on SW 40 st, you will be around 77 ave. You can drive east to 63rd ave and make a left there.

It is not really unsafe there except for the horrible drivers. A lot of kids Luke to race around the area.

Is it really dangerous if you are not black? I remember being lost in Wash DC and people were looking at me like some kind of spectacle. I felt awful.
