We're looking for clubs that play a lot of house music. Someplace we can go and dance a little have a few drinks without tearing up the town.

Maybe where locals hang out?

I don't think cubs play house music anymore. That was more like back in the late 80's/ early 90's

Ok, where do the locals go to have a drink and dance?

We haven't been many places but not really feelin' the dance music here so far. Dallas is a 130bpm city. Trance, Euro, lesser vocals, upbeat, well mixed rhythms rather than just angry hard hittin' rappers.

Who is considered the top dance DJ here?

No offense but aren't you a little old for clubs? I'm surprised they are letting you in.

Is THE KITCHEN still around? They also play Industrial, Electronic Body Music (EBM), Synthpop, Intelligent Dance Music (IDM) and Aggrotech, besides New Wave and Goth.

We do have DJs playing trance/house music here. I know Liv has plenty of DJ's that guest such as Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk etc. You got the trance festivals such as Ultra. Im not familiar with other clubs aside from Liv

Reggaeton pretty much took over this city. House,Trance music is viewed as yesterdays music as you can see from the above posters. Were here just not big as other cities.

Im done with clubs thats why i rely on Pandora for my daily dose of house music

Yes, unless they close at 6:00 PM.

NO offense taken at all. I like music and my business is the 20-30 something crowd. Half of what I do for a living is a party with that crowd. I like younger people and some of the music I find very well done. When my son is mixing at home I tell him to turn it UP not down!

Club Space downtown is the trance/house one I know of. And there will also be the Winter Music Conference and Ultra (they're going to be two separate events now) in March.
