Anyone have any thoughts on living in Biscayne Park? I haven't seen it listed on this site as a good choice when moving from out of state. It's always either pinecrest or coral gables.
Can anyone compare Biscayne Park to Miami Shores? They both look nice on a computer screen...
Thanks.

It's never going to be listed cuz it's a park not a neighborhood.

Biscayne Park is right by Miami Shores (above North Bay Village)

I don't think it's a bad place... I know prices in general are more affordable there compared to Miami Shores, but to be honest I'm not terribly familiar with the area.

i live near Biscayne Park, its a nice city next to Miami Shores (where i live). Quiet neighborhood and friendly residents. everybody comes out and socialize by the park in the middle. I always ride my bike through the area. not very congested and within distance of supermarkets/malls

I own a property in Sans Souci Estates and it is between my area and Miami Shores it is a wonderful neighborhood and very safe the cops are very efficient it has wonderful tree lined streets ... I always thought Miami Shores should merge with it and then try to some how slowly annex the area between the Shores and North Miami except for the area called Biscayne Shores laying East of the RR tracks to the bay which needs to be gentrified and turned into its own neighborhood...

The northern part of Miami east of the highway is really cleaning up....

at least up to 135 St

if we could only get rid of that sec 8 on 6th and 16th the northern part of Dade would be beautiful...

It's a very nice neighbrhood with lots of trees and interesting old homes. Biscayne Park is also a bird sanctuary,if this is of any interest to you. I will tell you if you plan to do something to your house, beware of the code enforcement. They make your life impossible to the point of harassment. In fact, the Park's overy strict code enforcement made it into the Miami Herald a few years back. I forgot the woman's name who would drive around in an ex cop car but she made a friend's life a nightmare, literally. Perhaps she is not the code enforcer anymore, but I am sure that her legacy and politics continue.

I had a friend who lived there and had a long battle because the house did not have a driveway. He finally left and moved to Georgia. Now he views code enforcement as a moving target.
