I read a lot of people here complaining that it feels like being in Latin America. They say it like it's a bad thing! THANK GOD for that. Thank God for the warm and fun Latin people with a sense of humor, and the gorgeous women.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Oh...you were serious.

Your comment is not true at all.
Huge fans of Cerati like me know he had several periods:
1982-84 new wavy, looked like Robert Smith, but music too poppy and optimistic to be compared.
85-87 INXSish
88-89 Italo Pop
90-91 Pop Rock en español and they had huge hits at that moment, and were nowhere near Robert Smith/Cure style
92-93 Grunge phase
94 back to pop rock
95-96 turned into a total hippie and they had huge hits bringing back the style of mid-1970s pot smoking music

and then his solo works, all eclectic, none of them remotely resemble The Cure and all of them were huge hits.

Maybe you are mixing Cerati up with Saul Hernandez from Caifanes, now that guy really tried to imitate The Cure on Caifanes' fist 2-3 albums.

Does she say it loud in front of Cubans or just whisper it to you in English ?

Their last hit was in 1990, and by then he obviously got a new look.

Even their music sounded a bit like early Cure albums (plus XTC). After all, the cure is one of their biggest influences.

Whatever...
In 1995 they had huge hits with Zoom & Ella uso mi cabeza como un revolver...
They broke up in 96.
If you were unaware of their mid-90s hits doesn't mean they never existed.
Do some research.
You obviously are not a fan so quit pretending you know what their hits are.

I grew up listening to soda estereo, my parents are huge fans since their beginnings... so please, don't even try to school me in this topic.

The songs that made them big (the real classics) predate the mid 90's, and eventually Cerati took a different image in 87. De musica ligera was their only last true hit in 1990.

I'm just going over what I said in previous posts.
