I know their growth in Houston has been impressive.Honestly I think Cubans can be proud, they're the most successful latinos in the US, they're an example for the other latinos in the country.
Apparently Colombians are very good too.

I don't think Cubans are the most successful Latinos in the US, Mexicans have done more than any other Hispanic group.

But for a group that arrived in the late 50's and early 70's they've done ALOT in such a short time.

No need to apologize. We're all here to share and learn.
I'm just tired of reading posts from semi-literate college graduates.

Illiteracy can spread....just as fast as literacy!

Mexicans have mostly low-incomes and have a low education attainment, I don't think they're successful...But they'll improve no doubts.

I agree with you here especially the first wave of Cubans were Doctors and Lawyers.

Agreed. Many were Doctors and Lawyers in Cuba and most of them renovated their titles when they arrived in the US .

i disagree. id say mexicans are. there are people in the US who are 1/16th mexican. theyve been around an incredibly long time and had plenty of time to get into all sorts of upper level positions.

So at what point is a person no longer Cuban? Do people in Cuba state they are Spanish-Cuban?

Just wondering.
