Well, I do not know but in the last week I have seen a lot of Hiring in fast food chains, and retailers. Maybe Im wrong but the situation is definetly better that a year ago. Though, I will not recommend you the move.

I see many lower level jobs available.

The key is to actually be in Miami first. No company offering jobs like they are is going to fly you in for an interview and pay for your expenses only to offer you an $8 an hour job.

With that being said, the low paying jobs will not make your time in Miami very happy.

The job market here is dire. Please don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Also, you'd better be fluent in Spanish. This is no lie: the company I work for throws every resume in the trash if either the applicant doesn't speak Spanish or if they fail to indicate it clearly on their resume. The flip side is that good, reliable workers are hard to come by here. We've had countless people we've either had to fire, or who never turned up for work after being formally hired. Still, I would not advise anyone to move here unless you're in the legal or medical fields.

H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E

Forget about getting a job that pays more than $8.00 an hour if you don't have at least a Bachelor's. Don't move to this place is you don't have hook ups and a Master's Degree in health. The job industry here is just health and tourism... Salaries in this place don't commesurate with the cost of living, you'll need 2 or 3 roommates to rent a so so apartment in a nearly decent area.
