Is it true there are chickens in Brickell wandering around like nothing? or is it just an urban myth?

Yeah, they are over by Publix in Mary Brickell Village. There is a fenced in vacant lot where they hang out. My guess is that they escaped someone's dinner table in Little Havana and found refuge there.....

Indeed. I saw two roosters trying to knock each other out in front of Metrorail. The one was scraping his foot on the ground like a bull and then they would charge each other. I wanted to go over and break it up, but being in the middle of two coc ks could be dangerous.

there are beautiful chickens all over Miami. there are some right behind my work that peck along a canal. I wish I had room to raise some myself.

I don't know if this is funny or embarrassing. We have ducks all over west kendall, but that's OK and excusable because of the lakes. But an urban setting with chickens wandering around... humm, that's some serious s#it right there. I'm not against the chickens, but is the city doing something to protect these poor animals from cars and religious people??

Hummm, Little Havana is not so close to Brickell though. Could it be that they actually migrated that far from their home?
