I just bought a new Honda Accord Special Edition and unless I buckle my seatbelt, an annoying noise chimes every 2 minutes.

Now, keep reading.......

I was going to find a clip to clip in the belt's lock in order to deactivate the annoying sound and so that I wouldn't now have to buckle up.

But guess what?......I am not buying the clip.......I'm going to wear my safety belt after all.

What does this have to do with Miami?........EVERYTHING!!!!!!

According to city-data.com, there are around 2.4 million residents in Miami-Dade County. And very few of them can drive.

So thank you Miami, you have taught me to wear my safetybelt!

Be glad that it was only an annoying chime that taught you that lesson. I know people that have had to learn the hard way.

Has it occurred to you that it is the law to wear a seatbelt?

Other than the rare shoulder harness that bites into the shoulder, I have never understood the reasons NOT to wear a seatbelt. If professional race car drivers wear them, and their souped up models allow them to survive crashes at 100+ mph, WHAT is it that people don't understand?

Back over 30 years ago I was in a head-on crash with a .25 drunk. If I hadn't had both belt and shoulder belt fastened (they were separate back in those days) I wouldn't be here today.
