You said it so much better than I did. Unfortunately I couldn't rep you.

I am still the same person I was 10 years ago, just balder. But, then again, I can retreat to NC when I need a break.

My personality has not changed...nor will it ever...and I find better success knowing I grew up here...saw all the changes..and stayed. Traffic seems to flow along...I look at the cityscapes..landscape as opposed to "ay conooooo this **** ain't never gonna move"...it is a bit perplexing in the morning but not when I'm coming home.

Try waiting in line at a clerk's office at the court every day issuing process and you will appreciate getting out and dealing with the traffic, other people....I don't expect people to cut in front of me and it never happens. When things do happen I see it as a comedy show and proceed to fumble around with my Iphone....goes away fast. I think I just appreciate the "life's too short" aspect of life a bit more without looking too vulnerable...

Gatormama, excellent and accurate post. Many may think that you may be exaggerating, but what you described I have seen many times. Excellent post!

This thread is very representative of the fact that Miami is a love-it-or-hate-it place.

Miami is like a Durian!!!! It's pungent and overbearing but depending on who is tasting it, it can be pungent and overbearing in the right way. Miami is extreme and over the top in every way and some people find it obnoxious and others find it a delicacy!
