Around dumpsters and on the side of the road in nice neighborhoods, people are always throwing out nice furniture, but that's just me.

Not knowing what type of budget you have Sarah. These are some of the bigger stores: El Dorado, Ikea, Rooms to Go, City Furniture, Macys Home Store, Baers, Carls, Ashley Furniture, American Signature. There are a bunch of smaller stores all over South Florida.

Ikea for everything except a sofa unless one of theirs suits you. But I hate spending money for furniture and I could care less about furniture past functional characteristics of it.

Fwiw, I've had very good luck with City Furniture on several different occasions.

Just a thought ...

We found a good deal on leather couches at the Macy's scratch and dent (I can't remember the real name) on Old Dixie Highway at about SW 136th. Go to the back where the real discounts are hidden.

You have to start hitting the higher end estates sales. Many have fine high end furniture for less than Rooms to Go or El Dorado crap furniture that isn't even solid wood or american made.
