I've been to both Orlando and Tampa (theme park nut here!). Nice cities, but they're both very provincial and are nowhere near as urban as Miami, nor do they have the multicultural feel that I have only found in Miami (in relation to the state of FL).

Miami isn't that chaotic. Try living in Lambeth for a few weeks and Miami will seem serene!

Why all this arguing? If someone feels it is chaotic down here, then, for them, it is chaotic. We each have our likes, dislikes, situations that cause us stress and situations we enjoy.

I left the cold of my native Chicago to move to South Florida and could not be happier. Much better weather and not as segregated. If you moved away because of the cost of living I can respect that. But you will find rude people everywhere. I prefer up front in your face rudeness vs back stabing midwest and southern rudeness. Different strokes for different folks.

I disagree with the whole state being boring besides Miami. Tampa/St Pete holds it's own. A city doesn't have to be chaotic to be fun.

No, the whole State isnt boring. As you stated, Tampa and Orlando are good cities in their own right with a lot of good and some bad stuffs, as any city in the US. But what Miami has is that international flavor that only a few cities in America have.

I like Colombian silicone girls as much as the next guy ... but I still think Miami is no better on the pecking order or evolutionary scale than Orlando .
Na, Orlando is great but its nightlife kind of sucks. Im talking about Orlando not Disney or Universal. Or maybe its me that I have grown accostumed to the international flavor of big cities. Orlando and its surrounding areas' nightlife is too ..."southern" for me. To each their own Rock. Is my explanation intelligent enough for you? If its not, oh well, I take the first then.

And again, I posted in this thread because I left Miami. I also listed my reasons for leaving. Does that qualify me to write this?
I dont know why you feel that wrote my last post directed to you, I didnt mention your name anywhere in it. Could it be that you want to keep looking for an argument??? Hmmm, just get over it buddy.

Things just move too fast here for me. I like a slower pace, not a lot of noise or chaos. I hear the west coast (Fort myers, etc) is pretty laid-back. Maybe I would like it there.

Living in Miami is like living next to an Outhouse, you know it smells..but you get used to it. People come visit, and tell you it smells, but you just ignore them, because you KNOW that they are just jealous...when you finally leave Miami, and move to a nice place...there is no bad smell, and you finally realize how terrible it really was, but that you were used to it...and you just are so surprised that you don't smell that odor that permeates your entire life any longer, and you realize...Wow, my life could have been this nice for years...why did I live next to that outhouse?! I guess you just get so used to it, you don't even realize how bad it really is....until you leave....and then you can't believe you could stand it for a day, let alone years.....
