Default Furniture --- really bad that Ikea is not in Miami :/

Hello,

I am a new international student in Miami and I just rented unfurnished apartment in South Beach, I got a refrigerator and a cook pit. I want to ask for advise where can I get cheap table, bed, TV stand and couple of chairs. That will do for now. Please advise.

There is an IKEA in Broward but there are tons and tons of furniture postings on Craigslist and Saturday yard sales are great for picking up cheap furniture.

I know but it's too far from Miami, I don't have my own transportation.

Well, if it was in Miami, what, you going to carry all your furniture?

Public trans will get you to Ikea.

You can rent a car for one day.

Have an acquaintance or coworker give you a ride, maybe offer $20 for it.

You said you live in SB, heck, if Ikea was anywhere in Miami you still would have the same issues, unless you plan on doing some hiking. Then you buy a table, walk back with it?

I though the store would offer shipping home. I though that's a given. With little extra payment of course. Yes, if I would have a Drivers license I would have rented a car but I don't have and about friends lol, I just came here, I have yet to meet somebody.

I doubt delivery will be a "little extra", but I'm sure they have a delivery service. You could probably order online if you're going to have them deliver anyway.

You can get those items at any Target or similar store, no need to go to all the way to Ikea.
