Oh yea, I find this to be especially true around Little Haiti. Nothing against them this is just the way it is where they come from. Its a bit crazy though. Living near the area I have had a few close calls with people crossing out of no where day and night. They pass the driving test because it is the easiest test I have ever taken and in NO WAY prepares anyone for driving every day. I took my test 6 years ago when I was 16 at the Pompano Beach DMV. It has a little course, no other cars it took about 4mins MAYBE and the instructor was surprised I spoke English. Got a perfect score. Easiest thing I have ever done in my life. I used a driving instructor which gives me some money off insurance, so it was in a small little car which made it even easier. The only thing they do right at the Florida DMV is fail you automatically if you dont wear your seatbelt. But then again we dont know if people are actually even passing these test. Florida DMV especially down here needs a major overhaul!

Thats exactly how it should be.

As a side not Miami PD was out on Brickell today by the Condos right before downtown doing a speed trap. Never seen them there before and I have only seen a Miami PD speed trap in one other location on Biscayne by my house.

City of Miami can start by towing all those cars on NW 7th ave. that parks in the right lane every single day until they get their act together.

They have been increasing their presence a lot around the Brickell area, even on the side streets enforcing the stop signs.

Begging Big Brother to control our lives even more. Brilliant. As for prisons, they are too many incarcerated at the moment. Why have more graduate from violent crime college? I do like the idea of increasingly hard testing for drivers who have many accidents or are convicted of traffic offenses. The best way to fix the parking problem is to give immunity to anyone who hits an improperly parked car.

To Miamians: please come up here and try your **** up in Philly. PA drivers are not the best in the world, but they drive like loons when they're in other states, such as NJ. Try doing those Miami moves here in Philly and the cops will come down on you like a ton of bricks. I was actually driving on our (civilized) section of I95 over labor day weekend and cops were stopping idiot drivers left, right and center.

I hate big brother as much as the next person, but Miami ***** need big brother, because they are children, incapable of grasping concepts such as driving in a manner that DOES NOT endanger lives.

We absolutely need more tickets being written. Exponentially more. Nothing else will make an impression. To believe otherwise is simpleton dribble.

I saw it work in Las Vegas. Cars were ignoring the left turn red light on the Strip, specifically at Flamingo. It was like an uprooted Miami, cars turning 5 or 10 seconds after the red, causing innumerable problems, accidents that snarled that incredibly busy intersection all the time. Metro finally cracked down by putting several motorcycle cops at the end of the turn. They stay all day, swooping in to nab the final 2 or 3 cars that turn on red.

And yes, I want big brother more involved. Deregulation got us into this mess, beginning with Reagan. I damn sure trust government more than corporations, particularly after working for so many major casinos in Las Vegas and hearing a drunken Jack Binion and a few others detail what they actually get away with, things that never make the books.
