One of the best at antagonistic people in America hands down. It was indeed a terrible misunderstanding... their command didn't go through the poor guy's head.

Exactly, it was a terrible misunderstanding and I think the Police Dept is liable for medical fees, maybe even some punitive damages but not much, the officers should not lose their job, and we should not be calling them bullys, ignorant people etc..

People need to put themselves in the situation the cops where in. Imagine if a mentally disable person attacked you? What would you do? Say its ok because he/she does not understand what they are dong? No of course not.

I'm not gonna change your mind, and I guess I should have kept my opinions to myself... it seems to be a sensitive issue. I do believe there are nice cops though, not all of them are bullies, I guess. I let my resentments talk on my behalf and assumed the worst of each one of them; It's not like I know every policeman in Miami either. I guess they need to act like bullies since they never know who is behind every person they stop; though sometimes some do go overboard. But I guess it's just some of them.
