I don't know about Broward but there are County and City employees who can't speak english well or at all. If I was mayor I would make it mandatory for any city employee to take an English skills test. Fail the test lose your job.

I didn't say the word was spelled correctly, I said that doesn't mean the operator didn't know
HOW to spell "school" which is what the article is implying. Obviously they have nothing better to report so they sensationalized the story.
It's most likely a typographical error, not an ignorance error.

this is Broward news not Miami! I also love how one of the people who made a comment in the article blamed "hispanics" for the error as if Americans are such great spellers themselves! Anybody remember Dan Quayle?
