Default Anyone get stuck in downtown today because of Occupy Miami?

I had a forty-minute-late (and very crowded) bus to deal with, how about others?

As the Herald (http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/11/17/2506330/occupy-miami-to-march-in-little.html - broken link) mentioned today, I saw them from the Metromover, shrugged my shoulders, and rode up to the Omni instead of getting off at Bayfront Park. IMO, 99% of the motorists stuck in traffic and essentially 100% of transit riders trying to get out of downtown ARE the "99%." Today, the Occupiers were the 1% who inconvenienced the 99%!

Luckily I walk to and from work. I was expecting that I might have to shove my way through a crowd or something, but they were assembled further down the street, near the bridge I guess because I saw the police lights flashing.

Thankfully I was able to get through downtown around 3pm. Usually I have to travel in it around 5-6pm. These people are just becoming a public nuisance. They need to give up because 99% do not believe in their radical leftist ideas.

I will say the Herald did a surprisingly good job reporting this. Funny thing is "Occupy Miami" is probably filled with illegal immigrants who should have no ights in this country. They complain about corrupt business yet want jobs? Do they think the government can supply everyone with jobs. These people are nuts and the public distrubances they create need to end. Let them yell and protest all they want in a park, open up the AAA for them. Don't let them create traffic and distrub people working and living their lives. There is a big different between a protest and disturbance and they have crossed the line almost every time around the country.

You should go WF. Cause a disturbance! Don't miss the fun while you're still young.

Hopefully these demonstrations will become organized resistance to the financial system. Bank runs, barter and strategic boycotts will do more than camping out with homeless people.

At least one person interview by the Herald was a retired janitor. I do not believe he would be the only legally employed person among the throngs. Nor do I think illegals would be exposing themselves in such a public event.

Wow, these are some pretty big numbers! 99% of the population is against OWS AND 99% couldn't get out of Downtown! This must be all over the front page!

Oh. Wait. It's not. Hmm...

Did you see the protest in Oakland CA? I was SHOCKED by how effective they were. They were actually able to shot down the Port of Oakland as a small nudge to the people in power, that hey you keep screwing with our money, we will screw with yours. Will this level of organization spread to other cities, we shall see. But the ones in NYC are bit silly/delusional if they think sleeping in tents and banging on drums is going to solve anything. It will take a concentrated, coordinated and INTELLIGENT effort and sleeping in a park isn't going to do that.

Might be more effective if we just round up the Rothschilds and ship 'em to Antarctica with regards from Colonel Jackson, Honest Abe, the Tsar and JFK.
