Thanks. If that's the only one, it would be a hard landing a job.

Turkey Point nuclear power plant is in south dade county east of Homestead and sits on Biscayne Bay. It is roughly 30 miiles south of Miami proper and is one of only three nuclear plants in Florida.

How exactly do you relocate a nuclear plant? What is the issue? Turkey Point was built when it was sparsely populated and has never had a emergency situation.

Hmm so how else should we get power? Coal? Gas? Oil? Water which we do not have place to dam and even if we did that would be an ecological disaster. Not enough wind here and Solar power sucks.

Nuclear plants are the least harmful to the environment of all the large ways to make power and the only good way it could be done down here in South Florida. Thankfully South Florida and FPL went Nuclear.

I am for nukies but...at a distance...

They should be built at desert areas..
We should accept a slightly higher cost ,to feel safe.
Thney should relocate it at Key West...

Solar can be big.
I dream of a Miami where "every" roof will have solar panels...

Except you can't build a nuke plant in a desert because of the large amounts of water they require for cooling purposes. Turkey Point and its cooling canals and buffer zones have also played a surprisingly important role in the recovery of the American crocodile population.
