I've recently been offered a deal with LA fitness for $19.99/month with $0 initiation fee. Is it a good deal since I've been paying $28/month at 24 hour fitness for 2 years? I'm gonna give 24 a call tomorrow to see if they can match or beat the deal from LA. Is anyone having LA fitness with access to nationwide? How much are you paying per month if you don't mind me asking. Thanks for your inputs.

A few years ago I belong to LAF for 40/mt in DFW. Too high! You got a good deal. I just recently however join 24HR (27mt/30 one time fee). I like it better so far. I like being able to work out at midnight if I so choose. LAF was never open late - only one location in town stayed open till 11pm. LAF is way cleaner by comparison so far in my short three weeks at 24H. But overall, I prefer 24H cuz it's a much younger more attractive crowd here in DFW anyways. IN DFW, LAF generally costs more than 24H, and that to me plus the 24hr access is probably why youth is at 24H.

Also be aware LAF has a nasty little trick about cancelling membership on the webpage. Remember that and read carefully.

LAF was just a bunch of old rich guys working out. Hardly even any women. Yawn - pass ....

Lol I've noticed only pretty girls and high school kids at LA. I do love the convenient factor of 24 hour fitness, though. I wish they have swimming pool and sauna/steam rooms like LA.

Well my experience is in Dallas, so it could be a lot different in MIA.

OP, I suggest you try out LAF and if you like what you see, flip.

Although the 24hr thing rocks, I'm just so sex crazed I'd personally just choose the one with the most eye candy.

Then it comes down to distance. 3 min to get to 24 hour fitness while it takes 10 min to LA. And the receptionists at 24 are not bad lol.

The worst gym I have ever experienced was LA Fitness in Doral.

I've decided to stay with 24 hour fitness since they match the price at LA. For those who want to join the gym, $19.99/month with $0 initiation fee at LA fitness is a good deal ;keep that in mind to negotiate.
