Cool Natives - What High School did you attend?

To all the Dade County natives or South Florida natives in general, what high schools did y'all go to?

I'm currently attending Dr. Michael Krop Sr. High School. =\

I went to Southwest but actually graduated from Coral Park. What class are you tallrick? When I went there, they were were starting to build a new science and wing and library, and the gym was not air conditioned. It always had the concentration camp look...didn't it? What was it like before?

The outdoor hallways were always dirty and unkept with the wires and pipes attatched to the walls and ceilings...and the sad looking courtyard. I did hear that before Andrew there were large tropical trees in the courtyards...but I never saw them.

When I was there, the office had serious water and flooding issues, always had fans running to dry out the carpet....

We also had the Cuban lunch mobiles come into the circle and sell lunch since the school cafeteria was not sufficient for the 5,000 students....

5,000 students? No wonder that place is falling apart! Before they installed air conditioning, the hallways were varnished wood, with neat looking corridor lights. Unfortunately the wall did not go up to the ceiling, so students would often throw things from classroom to classroom. Before air conditioning there were no pipes in the west corridor, and there were a lot of trees in the patio area between the gym and band room. Between classrooms there were, and are trees and grass so you have something to look at while in class. Before 1998 the front of the school had a half-circular driveway that ended at the office entrance. My favorite was the library, that looked like the 50's and had some nice views. The shoody remodel was evident when part of the new ceiling collapsed a couple of years ago. I graduated in 1986.
