Every time I see a tourist toasted by the sun with that typical red-orange-yellow color I felt bad for him ...
I meet some who think thats a tan ... It is not .

It is actually a 2nd grade skin burn which affect the skin (epidermal tissue and dermis) this could be dangerous and very uncomfortable for the next vacations day ...

If you are not use to the high temperatures , even when it is cloudy and you are sit at the beach ... Do yourself a favor and put Sunblock 25-30 before even see the sun .

repeat every 45 min ...

There is not way to get a dark tan in one or two days .
For better results you may try Sunblock and tanning oil , first light SB and 10 min later lots of TO keep doing this every hour for the long of your vacations .
At the end you will get a middle tan and not burns ...

Also be aware of heatstroke ...

BE SAFE

Great advice, when people from cold climates go on vacation its a must to come back with a tan to say look I went on vacation. But yet they are only damaging their skin. I wear sun screen even if I plan to spend most of the day indoors. You will get sun in Miami just driving down the road.

You're advice is so thoughtful. I think the same. People aren't aware of how strong the sun is. Stay protected people!
