$32? No wonder the cab companies opposed public transit from the airport to the beach. Totally nuts to spend more getting there and back than it costs to eat a relatively normal meal.

I paid 48$ from MIA to my house (near the GG) - including the tip. (Which by the way is what it was from LaGuardia to Chelsea...)
Yeah the shuttle's only 29$, but I REALLY didn't feel like waiting!!!

Any major city you go to, it will cost you something crazy like here in Miami to get from the airport to usually downtown. I think we spend about $40 + tip to get from Sea-Tac to downtown Seattle. LGA to Manhatten cost like $24 plus tip.

But I agree though it is a little outragous the fees. I wonder what it costs them in gas to go from MIA to South Beach, it really isn't that far?
