No, not in the world, not in the US, not in the south and not even in Florida. Ridiculous.

Criminal? ehh... There is not a lot of violent crime in Miami than in other cities.

More like VERY shady and corrupt. People in Miami have a tendency to be low down and love to "get over" on people and situations.

I definitely think South Florida (Miami) is where criminals and criminal-minded people go to "reinvent" themselves...or hide.

Well, that's only one city in Mexico which has several cities that would make Miami look like Utopia in comparison.

Miami was in much worse shape from the 70's through the 90's. The inner city was much more dangerous and abandoned. Overtown, Edgewater, Wynwood, Allapatah, Little Haiti and Liberty City were a different world. They were much more populated and looked more like Camden, NJ. Crime peaked in the 80's and there were race riots scattered through the decades.

What has happened in the last 30 years is Reaganomics kicked in. The richer are getting much wealthier, we're entering another gilded age if things don't change.

This thread's intention is kind of a fail. Miami does not rank in the Top 25 cities in terms of Violent Crimes Per Capita (based on 2012 stats) and the crime rate has been falling the last couple of years.

That's Wrong though. Miami ranks 21 in violent crime rate based on FBI 2012 preliminary data. In 2012, Miami had a violent crime rate of about 1172 per 100,000.
