Miami should create its own exclusive film industry, one independent from other American industries like Hollywood. An example of this is Hong Kong cinema which is in a way independent from Chinese Film industry and Taiwanese Cinema.

Exactly.

Trump (not only in AC but many projects) has grand ideas and let's other people hold the bag. When it doesn't work out, he's out of there and they're left in ruin.

Trump is an opportunist and terrible businessman. He got lucky that he was born to a wealthy family which have put him where he is today, but in no way, shape or form does he conduct good business or have the knowledge to make ideas like this work.

It will be a sin if they give him the land and the project will fail without a doubt leaving the cities even worse off than they are now.

If you want actual businessmen, call Warren Buffett or Steve Wynn or Bill Gates over. Anyone can have a fabulous life and make some good deals when they're giving almost $500 million to play with, but it takes true businessmen to go from nothing to millions upon billions.

I am skeptical...but I like the idea minus the land giveaway demands. Otherwise he may as well open his studios in Lehigh Acres if he wants dirt cheap land.
Agreed.

They just need to donate the land to him. This will be good for homestead, more jobs and people will move down here.
Why Homestead of all places? It's so ghetto down there. Palm Beach would be a much better suit since most movies in Florida tend to film there and it's super clean and nice.

Usually these "developers" and studios just want handouts. Free land. free infrastructure (no property taxes) and likely payments from the state. Louisiana gives production companies 30% of production costs and 35% of salaries which is pretty ridiculous.

There is plenty of land out way out west in PBC. Take a drive along Bee Line towards Pratt and Whitney.

They actually filmed the 60's tv show "Gentle Ben" in Palm Beach Gardens right off of Bee Line and PGA Blvd.

If land in south Florida was not artificially inflated in price, independent creators would be able to build these industries themselves. Instead Florida prostitutes itself for these parasites to rape it over and over again.

Come to think of it why not just give the use of the land to me, I will turn it into a biofuel farm that will still produce more than that fish-faced silver spoon windbag could ever dream of.

This 'problem' is not exclusive to South Florida or even Florida as a whole for that matter. Developers across the nation look for handouts every chance they get.

They should not try to be greedy and end up striking out just like what happen to Homestead bowling alley.
