Default Miami Times Square

Any news on this project? Interesting concept, your thoughts?

It looks tacky. Does time square even have advertisements that go that far up, on top of a building?

This is tokyo

I don't think it can be compared. Those concept billboards aren't even like the coppertone sign in downtown where at least it was on the side of a building, not on top of it ruining the skyline.

^ Yeah I agree, it could use improvements, but what are your thoughts on them if they put a Time Square ( a cool one like Tokyo/NYC) in Miami you think it would be a good idea?

I think that's a good idea for parts of Downtown Miami. Flager and Biscyane, or something near Biscayne blvd seems natural. This location ehh. I guess they need a parking garage anyway, I would rather have this than just a boring old parking garage but it's location is not exactly the pedestrian zone I would like to see something like this in.

Also will be interesting to see what the county says about this.

In Miamk Beachn IMO two spots should already be lit up like times square. The corner of Washington Ave and 5th street, the corners of Lincoln Road and Washington Ave + Lincoln Road and Collins ave. Obviously this is not related to the vote since its Miami Beach but still could be a great spots.

If they do it right it can be a good idea. If they just have a bunch of them spread out around the city then it's a bad idea. Obviously this does not pertain to Miami Beach but I think those two spots have great potential. I doubt anyone in Miami Beach City Hall shares my same thoughts

It's a great idea like Greektown is a great idea for Detroit.

Seems interesting. It's not the most interesting location, but maybe people will come to see it.

I can't find anything about it. All I see is the more recent proposals to sell out available space from buildings, historic or otherwise, for neon signs.

I think if downtown Miami could replicate something similiar to Tokyo's it would be AWESOME

It already looks like it can have that same potential

It has a while to go before it can reach Tokyo-level gaudiness. Tokyo is basically Blade Runner. Miami first has to surpass New York City.
