LOL!! all of this is sooo true!

You know you're from Miami when you leave town and are shocked to discover that no one is standing on the street trying to sell you everything but the kitchen sink (i.e. people on the corner of 27th and 183rd selling socks, water, umbrellas, oranges, fresh seafood, sweet potato pies, bean pies, t-shirts, M&Ms, etc.)

-when the sound of several car horns signals the death of a dictator instead of a car accident.

-when you know the difference between a yucca and a potato

I miss home! LOL

..when you forget that beans and plantains aren't actually american staples. You go to other cities where they serve hotdogs and bagels and think - what is this strange food?

When you were in highschool and you knew not to use the water fountain if you were thirsty because you'd seen people get a busted lip after someone came and pushed thier head into the fountain from behind...

I know I am in Miami when somebody in front of me tries to park his MINI in a parking lot which is good for a SUV for 5 minutes or longer, blocking all other vehicles and still talking via mobile phone to their friends !!!

- You spend more time on Sunday in a pile-up of trucks with boats in tow than you spend in your boat that day.

This thread is seriously sublimely AWEsome.
