Epic, might be a nice hotel across the Miami River from Brickell, as the hotel is situated right on the river.

Icon Brickell is a complex of three buildings. Two of the buldings have condos, while the third has the Viceroy Hotel.

I thought there was three buildings, not the prettiest facade but fairly tall buildings.

There are three buildings, two officially are Icon towers and the third is the Viceroy tower at Icon Brickell.

There are some units being rented out within the Icon towers, the legality of which I'm not sure. I do see them on Expedia and the like but am not sure if they are properly licensed with the city. I would imagine since they are selling the rooms on the big name travel sites they are, but you never know.

The Viceroy tower is mixed use- both hotel and condo units. Owners in the Viceroy tower may choose to put their unit in the hotel program but they do not have to. If they do then there is a standard for decor they must follow.

The Viceroy hotel and Viceroy hotel lobby have a Kelly Wearstler interior design whereas the Icon towers do not. The condo units in the Viceroy tower also do not have the Kelly Wearstler design unless they are part of the hotel program.

The Viceroy hotel now rents out condo units, either a studio, 1 bed, 1 bed with den or 2 bedrooms. These are TUI inspired design.

The Icon units I believe are mostly under the company "Elite City Stays."

If you are set on Viceroy/Icon, I would go directly with the Viceroy hotel and not with Icon. Icon is not up to the same standard.

However, I would choose Epic or JW Marriott Marquis over Viceroy. I've had two experiences with Viceroy and neither of them blew me away. I hear much better things about Epic and JWMM (not to be confused with just the plain old JW Marriott)

Hope that helps!

Thank you Coconut1!
I usually wanted to stay in a Coconut Grove hotel or at the Biltmore but husband pays - husband decides. He suggested the Icon / Viceroy because of the large pool and the near to Blue Martini. :-) But i tell him to have a look at Epic and Marriott also.

Epic is 990 Euro, Casa Moderna 840 Euro , Viceroy 959 Euro and Marriott Marquis 1405 Euro
