One day I would suggest going out to Everglades National Park, its cheap, you just need to pay a small fee to get into the park and gas to get you there. You can spend another day doing some tourist things around Miami like taking a boat tour from Bayside Marketplace which will show you where the movie stars live, etc.. Viscaya is a great place to spend a few hours. Bill Baggs Park on Key Biscayne has some of the prettiest beaches in Miami along with a lighthouse.

November is the high season in Miami Beach. Even Clevlander is 200 a night.

So we actually decided to stay in Ft Lauderdale as we found more options for our price range. And then for one night, we're going to head down to Key West. Thanks for all the advice so far!

When in Fort Lauderdale, visit Pompano Beach. Simply gorgeous. Enjoy! Also, the Everglades are a must see!

You should stay more than one night in Key West. As its a 5 hour ride to Key West from Ft. Lauderdale. You will not want to drive down 5 hours to just turn around the next day to drive 5 hours back.
