Miami has Biscayne National Park to the east and Everglades National Park to the west. I would say thats pretty impressive, two National Parks east and west of a city.

In that case ... Miami has Kennedy Park, Bill Baggs State Park, Oleta State Park, Matheson Park and Tropical Park which was mentioned.

Not much skateboarding going on in Miami... you actually see the same ppl/kids all around the county. Even though you don't know them, you can always remember the same faces.

Since downtown Miami can fit inside of Central Park with some space to spare, I wouldn't expect a true "central park" in Miami. I'd be satisfied enough to see the existing downtown area parks connected by greenways, promenades, and linear parks. For example, Margaret Pace Park to Bicentennial, and Bayfront Park to Jose Marti park. Jose Marti Park to the Marlins Stadium, along the river, would be great too!

Huh?

I lived in DC itself and the DC metro area in general for 25 years and I haven't the slightest idea to what you're referring.

Miami needs to copy New York like New York needs to emulate Miami.

Different urban design. No need for a central park here. I can see why you need one in Manhattan.
