Coral Gables...
The metro rail is $1.50, and the Gables Trolley is free to anywhere in town.
Visit the Venetian Pool (Gorgeous), see the Biltmore Hotel (beautiful), Granada golf course, have a lovely jog, Salvatore Park, quaint and free, grab a bus and head south of Gables to Fairchild Tropical Gardens, and or Matheson Hammocks Park..cheap and beautiful.
I am sure there are others folks here may know... but the Gables is very safe and lovely to visit.
