Hi there,

I will start to work at Jackson memorial hospital in June and looking for a decent apartment to rent near campus since I do not have a car.

I found two brand new apartments just west of the campus - Somerset Tower and Oak Plaza. They are located west of NW 14th ave. between NW 12th street and 17th street. Can any one provide some info to that area and the apartments?

Thanks a lot!

There are some newer places right near JMH. A lot of med students live around there. Are you going to be a med student? Or a student of any over there? Just call up your school for recs of good places.

Im a fellow apartment hunter in this area and looked at these apartments in March.

The area seemed okay, not super walkable though although there were some shops not too far away. The building and the apartments are very nice. However they were pretty expensive for my budget, not sure what yours is. I think that a small 2 bedroom was like 1600 or something, which didnt seem worth it for the area.
