For the Miamians. When you went to school..during black history month, did your peers express disdain for Caucasians? My classmates sure did. And they were hispanic. I think black history month is terrible. History is important. But to cover the same Martin Luther King thing every damn year of K-12? It's too much. I would go as far as calling it brainwashing because thats what it was.

We did have hispanic heritage month or whatever in october but that usually never got much attention.

There's a possibility of that happening (frankly I just hope it doesn't end - and it won't, almost certainly - in chaos and paralysis)...also actually it can happen either way (if he's acquitted or not)...

The media is just inciting this sort of thing, there has never been a time in which bias was more clear than now.

I'll just say what Rodney King said when the L.A. Riots (different situation though, obviously) took place: "Can't we all get along?"

I don't believe there will be any rioting. Check out my last blog entry on this topic and feel free to share your thoughts.

Stay out of Liberty City, Overton, and Opa Locka. Even more so than usual, if the verdict is not guilty. Just to be cautious. I wonder if the metro will have more security on the trains?

Really was 50/50 about the outcome. But I believe the lack of real evidence the only correct verdict would be not guilty. The system is made that we would rather have 10 guilty men out free than one innocent man in jail. There is no way anyone not emotionally charged could find him guilty. No way. The Justice system worked today.

Hopefully there will be safe, non-violent protest. Any violence will just make it worse.

Wonder what Zimmermnans plans are. I would head to Canada tomorrow morning if I am him.

Justice wasn't served today. But, the law was the law.
