Anyone have to wear a suit every day to work? What recommendations are there for material, etc? I am moving there in a month.

I've heard linen is cooling, but gets wrinkled very easily.

Also, are there suit shops/tailors in Miami that would sell suits with the suggested warm weather materials?

I walk to work, I have my own office where I change into my suit and keep my suit there. But before that grand idea, I just wore the pants and carried the rest, then changed into it at work.

If you drive to work, doubt you should have much of an issue. Though it gets hot and humid in Miami, it does many places in the US, the DC area I am sure is hot right now for example.

I had trouble wearing suits even in air conditioning. My solution was to wear a portable cooler which circulated water cooled by a dry ice pack. A friend of mine with a bodybuilder's physique had the same problem but had some kind of absorbent material installed in his suit to limit overheating. Personally I HATE suits and ties because they are designed for a temperate climate, not Florida's harsh heat and humidity.

Even if you drive to work with A/C having to wear a suit in Miami's endless summer will never be a pleasant experience.

Ok if you work for the goverment, doubt it, but if you do there is a downtown gym, hubby uses it, that you can shower and shave. If not join on get in early for the summer months, other then our mean season June though late septempter you are fine riding on metro rail in a suit, they are ACed.

My hubby is a chemist for MDC and has to be a expert witness at times, needs a suit and he does it sometimes. Besides he beats traffic this way oat days.

Yes I'll be working for the government(FL, not MDC) do you mean that it is a gym for government employees? I will be working near civic center though so it may not be possible for me.
