Apparently there is an Amash congressman neo-castro legislation that would have given congress, not a potentially tyrannical unelected and unknown group of people to spy on all of our internet communications and phone calls in violation of the 4th Amendment of our US Constitution.
And this Illeana Ros-lethtinen voted for this legislation

I think voters in Miami Dade county should have voted out Ros-Lehtinen years ago since she is more worried about what goes on in Cuba than Miami. She's been in Congress since 1989 and is one of the most ineffectual Congress persons to ever serve the constituency of Miaimi Dade county.

she won't get voted out as she was redistricted into the most conservative district in south florida. but that might work against her if she has someone challenge her from the right.

Now all you have to do is say every member of congress has been useless. I am not a fan of any of them these days besides for Ron Paul. They are all lazy, useless and incompetent. It's the most incompent, lazy group of people in th United States.

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen is simply a puppet and a tool. Everything that she says or does has been sent by some higher up in government. She has sold out the citizens of this country including her children and future generations all for a good paycheck, health insurance and retirement. She might not owe me an explanation, but she owes her family an explanation, sadly they are ignorant, confused about their sexual orientation, busy texting and know little about American History, its foundation and what happened in Cuba. Her children are a reflection of what she and the system have created and it looks like she does not care one bit. It is all about money. What she is leaving behind is something that I would not be proud of.

It's hardly a conservative stronghold, it has a Cook PVI of R+2, that's a weak lean to the right. Democrat Joe Garcia won a similar Republican leaning district.

What saved Joe Garcia was Key West. That is why they dumped it from Ileana Ros-Lehtinen's district. She would have had a tough time with Key West even though she is a supporter of gay rights. Key West is highly democratic, liberal and against the Cuban embargo. They also feel that she did nothing for the Keys, which is true. She was always in Miami, running her mouth with the same rhetoric about Cuba. Joe Garcia is the complete opposite, he has abandoned his constituents in Miami and spends most of his time walking with gays on Duval St. The thing they have in common is that neither does much for their constituents other than making cameo appearances throughout their districts.

Not really, both districts have the same slim Republican lean. Joe Garcia was also representative of the rapidly changing Cuban vote, they're embracing the Democrats a lot quicker than anyone imagined. The Keys didn't save Joe, Ros-Lehtinen's old district included the Keys for years, even before she came out in support of gay rights.
