Rented condominium currently. I seem a notice a correlation between people who hate this place and people who live in apartment complexes.I would never rent in one of those traps.

^^

I lived in a four bedroom two bathroom house with a two car garage on water front up until last year. I hated it then and I hate it now so that really isn't a factor. At least for me it isn't.

I used to live in a Gated Community, now i live in a "regular" community. I don't like it. I'd love to live in a "side-street" area like much of coconut grove or something, but there's nothing like that around here where i work.

I would never want to live in a "community". Only accept a free-standing home on a public street. Anything else is unacceptable.

I agree but communities are all they build now. Developers plan out large communities because they are easier and the people who will buy those houses are more willing to accept lot sizes under 0.1 acres.

Yes it's a convenient way to get around setbacks and minimum lot sizes. Still if nobody bought those homes they would no longer be built. Why would someone move to suburbia to live like sardines in a city?

It's the generic feel of communities I do not like. However, mine is older so it's more unique looking than the new ones they put out.
