It is an Indian restaurant on US1 and around 120th street or so. I strongly don't recomment it. The food is bad and it is expensive. My work group went there one and the Indians in our groups said it was the worst Indian food they had ever tasted in Miami.

There are a couple of Indian restaurants out on Kendal drive past 117th ave that are better and much cheaper.

Here is a review from the Miami Herald: http://ae.miami.com/entertainment/ui/miami/restaurant.html?id=61357&reviewId=11608 (broken link)

The address is
Imlee
12663 S. Dixie Highway
Miami, FL 33156
(786) 293-2223

I don't believe they have a web site.

Again, let me reiterate my warning about the experience my group had there. Bad tasting food and expensive. That's not just me (an American) saying that but it was the feeling of the four INdians in our group.

Default the quest for a good Indian restaurant in Miami

Hi,
I am recently becoming a fan of the Indian food. I first tried it in Boston last summer, and I absolutely loved it. Indian people has found the right combination of spices on their food, so it becomes like a party of flavor in your mouth. I have tried to find a good Indian restaurant but it has been a difficult task. First I went to one in South Beach (somewhere at 12 or 11 between Collins and Washington) and the place was nice, nice setting the plates were nicely decorated, but the food was awful (and yeah, very expensive too).
then I went to Imli (the restaurant you highly discourage people to visit) and I must agree that compared to what I tasted in Boston; Imli's food is still lacking some flavor, but I found it acceptable (then again, I am not Indian and I have no Idea about what authentic really is). I also find it expensive.
I saw you recommended a restaurant somewhere in 117 and Kendall. I am very interested in visit that restaurant, can you please give me a little more information about it, because I have passed by that corner many times and I never noticed that there is an Indian restaurant anywhere.
Thank you very much,
Best Regards,

Camilo.

It is in the strip mall across the street to the south of Town and Country Mall. This was a few years ago so I don't know if it is still there. There was another one not too far from that one but I don't remember exactly where it was.

I've been to Punjab Palace off 117 ave and Kendall....its on the south side of Kendall....ACROSS from the town and county mall. The placed seemed dirty and my ex-wife freaked out when she found flies in her wine. We left at that point and did not complete our meal. No offer for compensation was given. Bad.

All
Indian food is expensive since most of it is a la carte.
