You have no clue what goes on in Puerto Rico..... The island is a lot safer than Florida..... there is a lot of respect in the street and there is not a state that has lower rape stat than PR

they are moving here (orlando) by the thousands, i dont think you all get many in south fla though. we dont have the room for them here, it is way too crowded in orlando. traffic is horrendous!
i'll make room for them though, i am leaving

Do you have friends or family you can stay with in Miami while you look for a job? I think that this area is much better than PR, and if it does not work out, you can always move home. Now it the time to make a move, and see how it goes. If you don't do it now, you will always "wonder".
I am always surprised why talented people who have background in hotel/hospitality and food service think that they need to stay in hotel/resturant industry. The assisted living facilities here need people with your skills, to manage the kitchen, wait staff, do ordering, same type of skills, and there are more opportunities. Think about it. Huge opportunities in the villiages as well.

Youre going to need about 10 months to find a job in and hospitality o service industry- that pays enough to live on. Im a trained chef- and I gave up looking and went into another field- this place thrives when people have money to vacation- and its dead for now. So save up some money if you're planning on getting any kind of hospitality job right now.
