I remember seeing it quite a bit. I think it was recently taken down so that it could be restored. Or I'm thinking of the sign that was in downtown Miami. Anyhoo...one of them is being restored and should be put back up.
It's Monday and I'm not into the groove for the week just yet.

You are thinking of the one downtown that was sent to a warehouse in Hialeah to be restored and then will be placed somewhere on Biscayne Boullevard.
This was a billboard sign at the Golden Glades exchange.

I also remember one on the way to Miami beach off the airport expressway. That was when I was a kid and my parents were going to the beach which at the time was easier than today!

I stand corrected.
But I do remember seeing the one at Golden Glades. I THINK it was still there in 1996 when I worked in the area but can't remember for sure.

I remember. I lived across the street at the Horizons and used to ride my bike there all the time. There was also an abandoned house there with a porch. We were scared to attempt going in there - the front door was opened for years - because we heard it was haunted. We always had a bad feeling being around those buildings.

So many great memories!
Anyone remember:
- How the falls looked before Andrew? The old movie theatre with that weird tall brown wooden.. art? that was in the center? The old photos that lined the top of the walls in the lobby. I also seem to remember the theatre having a balcony that as time passed got roped off.
- The Mole Hole in the falls. The original Banana Republic that was safari-themed. Seasons restaurant.
- In Kendall Mall (107th and something) that had craft world, all that glitters, celebrations and baskin robbins. OH, and New York, New York restaurant (where I had my very first bagel).
- Fedco drugstores
- College park pizza
- Godfather's Pizza that was either in or near Treasury
- Colecos??? Corrolas? Pizza? Something like that. Wasn't that good!
- Didn't Krome ave have U-pics?
- Old Cutler Road and how the old trees would completely darken the street beautifully
- Jack Horkheimer from the planetarium!
- Specs! Peaches!
- Killian Sr High before the school got walled in. We used to get rained on in the exterior hallways. I dream of that school sometimes.
- Swensens ice cream. Same mall as Specs on US1 I believe. My parents never took me there!
- Riverboat playhouse with their square pizzas and make your own sundae bar. They were owned by the same company that created the Automat - Horn and Hardart!
- Siam Palace and their lotus green boxy restaurant (still there, different shade of green now and a new sign).
- That Chinese restaurant New Chinatown with its reddish wood paneling.
- The Natural food market oh gosh, near dadeland. Last store in the stripmall right after an overpass? It was so good!
- Allen's in Coral Gables with its beautiful sign!
- Norman Bros
- Burger King headquarters across from Dadeland, in the now gone office park near the now gone theatre.
I live in NY now. Good to read through all these pages and remember so many things!

Krome Avenue still has u-pics in the winter & early spring. Old Cutler still has big trees along the northern portion of the road.

I went to Killian and was let out of Spanish class to see it snowing in 1977 or 78.
Now OJ lives around the corner. Probably explains the walls.
