Riverboat playhouse with their square pizzas and make your own sundae bar. They were owned by the same company that created the Automat - Horn and Hardart!
Loved that place and the bad animatronic show!

The Mole Hole in the falls. The original Banana Republic that was safari-themed. Seasons restaurant.

Was this the one that out on the water in the mall? I've been wondering about the name of that particular restaurant for years. I believe they had live music as well.

The Nook
I'll bet no one remembers what The Nook was, and where it was

remembering
I too remember the statues at Dadeland mall as a kid big dinasours I believe. I also remember very specifically eating at Burdines on Sundays after church. I remember the kid's department and how they had a track suspended on the ceiling with train like mobiles that went around. I also remember when Burger King was at the entrance and the smell was so awesome. My Dad worked at a little grocery store part time called The Golden Rule somewhere in Perrine. And of course I remember the strip mall that used to be where the Cutler Ridge Mall was where they had a grocery store, Hallmark card store and department store and theater only. Interesting to hear all the perspectives and memories that I thought I had forgotten about. Does anyone remember the ice cream parlor that had a pizza place in the back somewhere along US1? Also, the restaurant Pumpernickles?

For some cool 'wayback' insight, go to youtube and do a search for "1950 coral gables". Some great footage from the gables and Miami circa 1950. Its the first video, actually a chevy ad.

Nope - not College Park Pizza. It's another sports bar now. LA Grill or something like that. It's actually pretty good.
