I would like to know what are your thoughts about the acquittal of Suspended Mayor of Miami Lakes Michael Pizzi? Do you think he is guilty?

This is the second trial in a row in which a public official is acquitted of all counts. The last one was against former Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina, I mean his wife. What kind of example does this leave other possibly corrupt people in public office and how does this help us.

It is not the politicians, police departments or other government entities in our county that are responsible for our rampant corruption and scams. It is the state attorneys office, they always drag their feet and refuse to open up an investigation when it concerns a public official. They are too politically connected and entangled in the web. They never initiate anything. They only open up an investigation when it comes from the FBI and then most trials end up in an acquittal. If the FBI brought the case to the state attorneys office something tells me that they had substantial incriminating evidence. Now the excuse that I am reading is that there wasn't really anything pointing to the Mayor of Miami Lakes. If this is the case then why was this brought to trial. This is another example of waisted tax dollars. Then they say that we do not have enough money for cops or libraries, boo hoo.

Pizzi was guilty, the state just couldn't prove it. It is an embarrassment to our Town to have these charges brought up. I hope he just goes away.
