To respond to your... whatever it was,
of course I have been to Tampa many times lately and that city hasn't changed at all, it is still what it was, and I don't think it's going to change, anytime soon.
Look, I don't have time to discuss "the in and outs" of a city that I don't care about, adding the fact that I'm not living there anymore. What you see here is my opinion about Tampa and if you don't like it, read something else.
Why many dislike that city? simply because the largely visible spread sex industry of that town. Those business savy men and women, apparently don't have any regards about the children that read those billboards every day, plus the very visible shacks with lights, near a huge Walmart, Sonic etc as well as the many women and men that may don't want to be witnessing or reminded about such stuff, every 24/7/365.
I have also stated on many occasions that if the sex industry in Tampa were not that predominant, that city could have some potential, of course if they fix some roads here and there, i.e. Kennedy street, downtown, and keep lower the crime high rates of the city.
Diversity is the most beautiful thing in the world as Einstein well said. Some may like one thing than others may dislike it, but we are all right. And although some people don't like the city of Miami, I do like it there and I think Miami is the best place to be in Florida, same rule of thumb applied to the city of Tampa, capichi?
BTW, I have some good friends in Tampa, and we all hope that the City officials can once for all sweep away the sexploitation that is going on in that city... but for now, all the xxx sex regulars that love Tampa, they can take it, it's all theirs... finito, and if I'm in the mood, I'd rather go to South Beach...
